The Wolf Lake Hatchery Visitor Center is dedicated to providing quality programming that tells the remarkable tale of Michigan's Great Lakes Fisheries and the vital role played by hatcheries in this story. Established in 1927, Wolf Lake Hatchery currently produces steelhead trout, Chinook salmon, walleye, and Great Lakes muskellunge for Michigan's inland and Great Lakes waters.
This hatchery features a visitor center with exhibits, programs and educational staff. Individuals of all ages will enjoy the opportunity to learn about a variety of fish species, their life cycles and habitats and how the DNR works to protect and conserve Michigan's lakes, rivers and streams to maintain a world class fishery. The visitor center is located on the grounds of the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery. Wolf Lake Hatchery Visitor Center also offers a seasonal Sea Lamprey display.
