Great Lakes Fisheries Heritage Trail

Harrisville Harbor is home to The Norseman, one of Lake Huron's currently active commercial fishing vessels and fishing operation. This is a state licensed trap net boat that fishes northern Lake Huron, Whitefish being primary fish targeted by this operation. The Norseman has a long history on Lake Huron, previously fished by Gauthier & Spaulding Fisheries out of Alpena, and their fish processed in Rogers City.

Harrisville Harbor also manages a small boat launch which is a favorite access point for recreational anglers seeking popular Salmon and Steelhead, Lake Trout and Walleye fisheries in Lake Huron.
