The Rogers Street Fishing Village celebrates over 175 years of commercial fishing on western Lake Michigan. The river-side site on the East Twin River is the historic home of the Two Rivers, WI commercial fishing fleet. The museum complex includes historic buildings including fishing sheds and a fisherman’s house that replicates a historic French Canadian’s fisherman’s home. Step aboard the 1936 wooden fishing tug BUDDY O and then see the traditional fisherman’s powerhouse–an antique Kahlenberg Marine Oil Engine start up. Rogers Street Fishing Village features a complete and fully rigged Mackinaw Boat on display. Other exhibits explore Great Lakes lighthouse keeping and lifesaving stories.
