Protecting Canada’s Lake Sturgeon
Short video produced by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (2010) about the Lake Sturgeon (Acipenser fulvescens), one of the largest freshwater fish in the world that is also considered a living fossil. The Lake Sturgeon has been assessed to be at risk across Canada by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Species in Canada (COSEWIC) and is currently being considered for protection under the Species at Risk Act.

This video explores the history, features and function of the Katherine V with retired commercial fisherman and boat captain Tuffy Cross. This a historic commercial fishing gill net tug exhibited at the Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan. This interpretive video was produced by Irving Entertainment (2019) in support of Great Lakes Fisheries Heritage exhibits and educational efforts at the Besser Museum.
